We then compile these recommendations into a clear, step-by-step plan that helps you launch your studies on the right foot.

Think of the MasterPlan™ as your compass: it shows you which Learning Track or Module to begin with, how many hours to dedicate weekly, and where to focus your practice. Instead of guessing what to do next, your MasterPlan™ points you toward the specific NMA lessons, assignments, and resources that match your goals.

• Keeps You Motivated: After submitting your enrollment form, you’ll also receive a printable Student Planner. This tool helps you visualize your schedule, track your progress, and stay engaged with your coursework.

• Step-by-Step Growth: Your MasterPlan™ is structured around skill development, using NMA’s proven learning architecture. As you gain confidence, it guides you to the next course or technique—so you’re always moving forward.

How Does It Work?

1. Enroll as a New Student: Choose your subscription plan (Library or Library+) and complete your enrollment.

2. Complete the Form: You’ll receive a short New Student Enrollment Form with just four key questions about your skill level, art focus, time commitment, and pace.

3. Get Your MasterPlan™: Based on your answers, we craft a unique MasterPlan™—a targeted selection of courses and recommended study habits to jumpstart your artistic growth.

4. Check Your Inbox: We email you a copy of your MasterPlan™, along with:

   • A Student Planner (for printing or digital use)

   • Links to recommended next steps (like the NMA Course Guide, campus community on Discord, and more)

Your privacy is important to us. The information you share in the form is stored securely and used only to create the most effective study plan possible.

What’s Inside the MasterPlan™?

• Starting Recommendation: A suggested Learning Track or first Module (often Drawing Foundations for new and intermediate learners).

• Weekly Hour & Pace Guidelines: Tips on balancing your schedule based on the number of hours you can devote to studying each week.

• Action Steps: Specific NMA courses or Lessons to begin with, plus guidance on how to submit assignments and receive feedback from our Feedback Team.
